The capital of Forum-2012 develops the territory of “Olympic Village”
Yakutsk, the capital of Sakha, goes on with the preparatory works to meet the participants and guest of two large sports events to be held here in 2012, i.e. the International Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” and “the Vth Children of Asia International Sports Games”. The more details about the development of “Olympic Village” that will be built by the next summer in place of the campus that is presently occupied by the students of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern University can be seen on site of Yakutsk-Sakha Information Agency.
Evgeny Kupriyanov, Head of NEF Maintenance Department and Yan Darbasov, Director of University Campus, have reported to the administration of Children of Asia International Sports Games about the progress of civil and repair works at the site. Evgenya Mikhailova, the rector of the University and the head of the Staff responsible for the accommodation of the Games organizing committee’s members, together with the other staff members assumed overall responsibility for the preparation of the events. The funds assigned for the repair of the dormitories amounted to 180 million rubles including: 84, 7 million rubles for the civil and assembly works in the dormitories; 4, 6 million rubles for the sports facilities; 7, 8 million rubles for the canteens and, moreover, the canteens will be newly equipped to the sum of 16, 8 million rubles. The organizers have purchased the household appliances to the sum of 6, 8 million rubles for the residences of Forum and Games guests and participants. The dormitories will be equipped with LCD TV, refrigerators and washing machines.
It is planned to spend 34 million rubles more for additional equipment and appliances and 33 millions for the land improvement.
The University can accommodate around 4436 persons: rooms for 3036 persons are provided in the 6th, 7th and 8th buildings of the new dorm, and rooms for 1200 persons are provided in 17th, 18th and 20th buildings. In compliance with the developed practice the students have to complete the classes in the University earlier than usual, i.e. by June 10 the students should evacuate the auditoriums and dorms.
The largest item of expenses is the security as it demands the application of high techs equipment that might be used in future. The campus territory will be fenced on all sides and all the year round computerized check-points will be installed over the perimeter. All comers and goers will be noted. The students and teachers will be given the individual magnet passes to enter the territory of the campus. The video cameras will record all movements within the territory.
