All Forum Participants will get access to Internet
The field meeting between the Republican Organizing Committee of the Forum “Russia– Country of Sports” and the 5th Children of Asia Games in 2012 and OAO “Megaphone” has been conducted in Sakha (Yakutia) to discuss the cooperation in the preparation and holding of the events. According to the press service of the Games Council, Vladimir Maksimov, Director of “Administration of Children of Asia International Sports Games”, Albert Krivoshapkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on the communications and information technologies of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and Andrey Gamyanin, Director of Yakutsk Regional Department of OAO “Megaphone” took part in the meeting.
During the visit to the project sites the representatives of “Megaphone” have studied the facilities infrastructure. “The issue of today of the main telecommunication partner of “Children of Asia Games” is providing for wireless access to Internet in places of residence, canteens and competitions, Vladimir Maksimov said, “Besides, as agreed, the company will supply all necessary equipment to the international press center for the work of 100 reporters and sub press-centers in the sports venues, Mirny and Neryungri”.
OAO “Megaphone” will deliver the technical requirements regarding the project sites to the Organizing Committee in the nearest future. According to Andrey Gamyanin, the company is able to equip the participants with the telephone and internet communications. “Megaphone” as a company has a great experience in this field, he noted, “Wi-Fi technologies allow delivering wireless Internet to all sites. First of all, it concerns the sports facilities under construction as the necessary equipment has been already installed on a number of operating facilities. The computers will be procured for the journalists and reporters. Moreover, “Megaphone” will do utmost to ensure the telephone communication for the members of Organizing Committee, panel of judges, journalists and volunteers”.
The press service of the Games Administration notes that the wireless Internet will be provided at the International Airport terminals for convenience of arriving and departing guests of the Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” and the 5th Children of Asia International Sports Games.
“The assembly of all technical means shall be done in parallel with the finishing works”, Albert Krivoshapkin said, “This work will demand the close cooperation with the contractors, and by June 1, 2012 we should test the equipment so we could have enough time to eliminate the defects, if any”.
